During a 2001 conference at the Word of Life Christian Center in Hawaii, Kenneth Copeland spoke specifically about a Christian revival in the ranks of the Mohammedans: “…there are going to be multiplied millions upon millions, there’s going to be close to a billion people that have been trapped in that religion, that over the next few months are gonna come into the kingdom of God. That’s gonna happen, you watch and see what I’m telling you ” (December 2, 2001.) (failed)
Along with false prophecies, Copeland is on record as denying the divinity of Jesus, claiming to be Jesus and promoting the doctrines of demons in the following quote: ‘Don’t be disturbed when people accuse you of thinking you are God…They crucified me for saying that I was God. But I didn’t claim I was God; I just claimed I walked with Him and that He was in me” (Take Time to Pray, Believer’s Voice of Victory, 1987, p.9 )
Copeland doesn’t just stop at satanic prophecies and twisted reinterpretations of scripture, his dementia extends to heresies so deeply developed one can only pray for his soul:
“Adam was just as much the Son of God as Jesus, Jesus just as much the Son of God as Adam. ” (Believer’s Voice of Victory, January 29, 2001);
“if you stood Adam upside God they look just exactly alike…Now here’s Adam in the image of God, and in the likeness of God. All of God’s attributes, all of God’s authority, all of God’s faith, all of God’s ability, was invested in that man.” (The Authority of the Believer IV, Tape #01-0304);
“Adam was as much like God as you can get, just the same as Jesus when he came to earth, he said if you have seen me you have seen the father. He wasn’t a lot like God he’s God manifested in the flesh, I want you to know something Adam in the Garden of Eden was God manifested in the flesh” (Following the Faith of Abraham I, 1989, tape # 01-3001, Side 1).
Copeland is as well known for speaking in tongues as for his satanic heresies. As I have written, speaking in tongues is not a gift of the Spirit and anyone doing so is possessed by demons and speaking the language of the damned. There are numerous videos on the internet of Copland babbling and flicking his tongue, engaging in hysterical laughter and twitching about like a drunken marionette. All of these actions are listed in the Bible as being indicative of one possessed, and not by anything of God.
Copeland is also immensely wealthy, as documented in an article published in 2008 by Eric Gorski of the Associated Press, ‘Wealth of Minister Kenneth Copeland And Family Scrutinized‘. Quoting from the article: “His ministry’s 1,500-acre campus outside Fort Worth is testament to his success. It includes a church, private airstrip, a hangar for the ministry’s aircraft and a $6 million, church-owned mansion”. “…the church disclosed…that his wages were $364,577 in 1995…”.
As if that weren’t enough, there is a video extant on the web of Copeland bragging of a billion dollar net worth.
The subject of a Senate Finance Committee investigation (among other wolves in sheeps clothing); Copeland’s mastery of fiscal subterfuge was exposed in the committee report published in 2011: “Senate Finance Committee, Minority Staff Review of EAGLE MOUNTAIN INTERNATIONAL CHURCH d/b/a KENNETH COPELAND MINISTRIES“.
According to the report, the breadth of Copeland’s empire includes mansions, sports cars, enormous salaries, household staff including gardeners and chefs, private jets, speed boats, private dock, airports, oil companies and other interconnected businesses funneling a continuous stream of money to the Copelands and their cohorts.
Luke 16:15 “that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.”
As satanic as Copeland is, the danger he poses is multiplied by his suave manner and easy delivery. Like all of those in this expose, Copeland’s immediate destiny is proven by his actions.
To rightly divide the truth, one must understand that these people ultimately answer to the God whose words they twist and whose grace they stretch to the breaking point.
1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
